A new body of work that was stirred up by the artist's feeling that the women in her Midwestern farming family live lives that are so completely tied up in the land, yet their stories and bodies are not represented in its landscape. Beauchamp will present this set of site-specific works that re-insert the feminine into a variety of landscapes. These dreamscapes welcome in a future where we all belong to and on the land, where we work to develop a landscape that nurtures us as we, in turn, nurture it.
Opening from 6-9 pm September 18th.
At Atelier Mimi
5207 Magazine Street
Light refreshments will be available.
Show will run until October 16th.
